600 The monastery

This beautiful former monastery is considered one of the historical buildings of the place with verifiable history. It is enclosed by 70 cm wide walls, with ceiling beams made of chestnut and juniper wood and original, handmade terracotta floor from the 18th century.

The villa is located very close to the central square of Pula, and thus a few minutes walk from the center of this lively town, and yet very quiet in a side street. Through a long driveway you reach the tree-covered forecourt, which also functions as a parking lot. As soon as you enter the building, you are taken in by the relaxing atmosphere of this history-laden place. The entrance area leads directly into the well-organized kitchen, equipped with all the necessities. Everything is available to cook like at home. Adjacent to this is the elongated living/dining area with large windows facing the garden. This is a feast for the eyes, large lawns are bordered by Mediterranean plantings, a treat for the eye. The upper floor of the monastery is divided into 6 spacious bedrooms, four of them with en suite bathrooms. All rooms have air conditioning and mini-bar refrigerators. The first, very spacious double bedroom is equipped with Tv, a dressing room, private bathroom and terrace. The very large bathroom has a round brick shower, very exotic. Directly adjacent to the bedroom is a smaller room with two beds, which of course can be combined. Very nice the view from here into the garden. From the hallway you reach the third double bedroom, also this one facing the garden and with its own en suite shower room. Next to it there is another double room with en suite shower room. Opposite to this is a double room facing the front garden. In the room there is a small, very practical desk corner. Very spacious with anteroom/dressing room is the last double room, also here there is a possibility to put two single beds or a double bed. A desk corner is available. Homey looking is the dark wood floor and the unplastered door jambs! Very large also this bathroom with shower and whirlpool bath.

Behind the living-dining area is a large terrace in the garden, which is equipped with wicker furniture, Also a brick barbecue is available. Very practical is the ground-level bathroom with outdoor access, crossing the garden you reach a dependence with a small terrace with seating. The large room is divided into a relax area with couch, minibar fridge and Tv, a double bed and a shower bathroom.

In the vaulted entrance hall of this ancient monastery is another ground floor apartment with a large double bedroom and shower room.
